Councillor Simon McMahon discusses the vital issues affecting our local community
Aldinga Bay Residents Association
General Meeting
7.00 pm Wednesday October 9
Aldinga Community Centre
Stewart Avenue, ALDINGA BEACH SA 5173
Onkaparinga Council is looking at, or will be reviewing, a number of issues that directly concern our region here at Aldinga Bay. Council would like feedback relating to these issues. Accordingly, we have decided to make these issues the feature of our next General Meeting, to be held on October 9.
The issues are (in random order):
- Expansion of housing in Aldinga (Aldinga Structure Plan)
- Duplication of Main South Road to Aldinga/Sellicks
- Council’s ‘Summer Activation’ plans at Port Willunga/Aldinga Beach
- Cars on the beach policy (For review)
- Sale of Government land adjacent the Aldinga Washpool area
Each of these may concern residents in Aldinga, Aldinga Beach, Port Willunga and Sellicks either now or in the near future.
Councillor Simon McMahon will be at the meeting to talk briefly on Council’s position regarding these issues and to answer questions.
This meeting will be a great opportunity for all residents to be updated and have their questions or concerns aired. Please encourage other locals you know to attend as well.
If you have any interest in your local area and these issues especially, do not miss this meeting!
As your resident’s representative group, ABRA is hoping to gain a perspective on people’s views on these matters to assist us in further/ongoing representations and advocacies.
